Unfortunate. Aaron had one less day with his family than he originality planned. He was scheduled to fly to Brazil to report to the MTC (Mission Training Center) on December 28th of this year. Because of visa issues, he instead was sent to Provo Utah for MTC training on the 27th, due to flight schedule's.
Aaron was a bit disappointed that he wouldn't be going strait to Brazil, not to mention the plan ticket he had been issued resulted in some frazzled last min shopping and packing. It's amazing what one day can do to travel plans.
This blog is primarily for those family and friends who want to know how Aaron is doing. We will periodicity be posting his letters as they come to us in the mail.
I understand it is hard to write missionaries letters. People today aren't used to this system of communication. It's a hard thing to do when you literally have to go out of your way to sit down, write about your life (which is hard enough), address an envelope and send it off. Then comes the fun of waiting to see if the person you wrote will write you back. It's a tedious chore in today's fast pass life.
I personally have had several opportunities to write missionaries while they've been away, but I have yet to stamp an envelope. (Despicable, I know) Thankfully, I won't have that excuse when it comes to my little brother. <3
That is why I want to hear from you- any love notes you may want to send, a good luck wish, or maybe even a personal story you want to share with our boy. Please leave comments with your remarks at the bottom of his latest letters, and I will be sure to send them in our next package out. This cuts out a lot of work for you, and will make him feel good to know that the world he has left back home has not forgot about him.
If you have a more personal message you want to send, you should feel free to send me or him a note on Facebook, email or our home address(I am managing his personal media while away), and I will find a way to get it to him without it being seen by the public eye. I promise not to read any of the material you send me that is specifically met for Aaron.
Thankfully for you, this will be the most you will have to deal with me. All posts will be directly from what Aaron sends. : )
With all that, I hope to hear from you soon. This will truly be a strengthening experience for your good friend and my baby bro.
Best Wishes
~Brooke
P.S. Any other questions? please leave a comment and Ill do my best to address them : )
